Quick … Enlighten me!

So this is very interesting. Reading a previous post by Jason Khan (again), I can across a series of conferences started in 2006 by Brady Forrest of O’Reilly Media called Ignite events. Here’s how O’Reilly Media promotes these events on the home page:

If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights to show their answers.

Interestingly, Ignite events have been popping up around the world allowing people within a community – typically larger metro communities – to gather together to share innovative ideas around many different topics. For example, here’s a link to the Ignite Toronto event.
